With her background as a Psychologist, owner Sarah Yates has a unique skill set to support people with disability in the workplace. During her years as a School Psychologist, Sarah realised the dearth of employment opportunities for students living with disability once they left school. Knowing how valuable work is to all of us, Sarah set about creating an environment of inclusivity, where all abilities are valued and have the opportunity to make meaningful contribution through work.

We partner with several Government Approved service providers to place employees within Our Ruby Girl & Ruby On Wheels who fit with our ethos and work requirements.

We also take on two students a term on high-school work experience and have found these partnerships to be extremely rewarding for both the student, and the cafe.

Whilst you are here you may notice some of our people work a little differently or take a little longer to do things than you might expect.
